Joshua Eide
HEAD COACH
Head Coach Joshua Eide joined the inaugural A5 boys’ team in 2011 and by 2014 was the team’s first male player to be recruited to college ranks by Johnson and Wales University.
From Cobb Atlanta Juniors to the bustling courts of Kennesaw State University to Advancement Academy in Ohio, Joshua’s coaching trajectory has been nothing short of meteoric. Yet, his heart never strayed far from his roots, as evidenced by his return to A5, where he serves as head coach today. He is also the creator of The Rejects, a “semi-pro” team that helps Josh satisfy his insatiable thirst for competition.
Through it all, Joshua remains steadfast in his mission to not only cultivate champions on the court but also to nurture confident, resilient individuals capable of conquering any challenge.
Nico Rousseau
ASSISTANT COACH
Assistant Coach Nico Rousseau’s volleyball journey began at the age of 13 in the vibrant streets of Santiago, Chile. While honing his skills in Stadio Italiano, Nico quickly ascended the ranks of U15 and U17 teams. His strong leadership skills on the court lead to him to be chosen as captain of his U17 team.
After moving to the United States, Nico earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Kennesaw State University and excelled on the university’s men’s volleyball team.
His mastery of the court has turned out to be an invaluable asset. After graduation, Nico became assistant coach for the esteemed A5 Volleyball Club. Armed with a wealth of technical knowledge and a keen focus on the mental aspects of the game, Nico is committed to nurturing the next generation of volleyball athletes while remaining a perpetual student of the game.
Callen Ferguson
ASSISTANT COACH
When COVID-19 stole his high school volleyball experience, Callen Ferguson dove headfirst into club volleyball where his skills flourished. He later showcased his knack for strategic thinking and leadership by accepting the role of women’s volleyball manager.
Callen was eager to continue his volleyball career in college, and he seized the chance to manage the Georgia College and State University collegiate volleyball program. Callen seamlessly balanced his studies in exercise science at Kennesaw State University with his unwavering commitment to his team.
After several seasons, Callen returned to his roots at A5, where he assumed the role of assistant coach under the mentorship of his former coach, Joshua Eide. With a profound understanding of the human body and a relentless drive for improvement, Callen continuously elevates team performance to new heights.
